Default Need help with 750 BF

I bought my first Kawasaki, a 2005 750 Brute Force. It had 1600 miles, was completly stock and ran perfect. I've since added a Dynatek cdi, a snorkel and a muzzy full system exhaust to the engine. It now idles good but won't rev out, it just sputters when you open it up. I think the problem is jetting but I am still running the stock air filter and am wondering if this could be the problem. Also does anyone know what the factory jetting and needle setting was for this bike. Thanks for any info.

with all of that stuff you added, you are going to need to re-jet

especially the 05 was lean from the factory on the front carb so you probably real lean on the front cylindr with all the mods you have done

so if I get the dyno jet kit will it have everything I need. I also put on a hi-lifter clutch kit if that matters to the jets.

It's your most likely jetting. Alot of peoplt don't like the dynajet kits, I've never had any trouble with mine. If you don't want to go with the dynajet kit then you need to shim your stock needles and go up on your mains. With what your running I would say start with 1 shim under the front and rear needle and bump your mains up to around 160-165 front and 165-170 rear. I'm sure that won't put you dead on but it should get you in the ballpark. When it comes to jetting you can lose alot of power if it's not right so I always recommend using a dyno or at least a wideband O2 sensor to help you dial it in. It'll cost you a little to use a dyno but even the best builders in the world can only do so much by plug reading. Plus you'll know how much and what part of the fuel curve to adjust. Just my $.02

I think the problem is in your jetting. The air filter should have nothing to do with it, unless it is just plain filthy!

no its not the filter for sure. I took the filter right out in my garage and it made it worse.
