Default p700 missing

I just purchased a 2005 P700 team green with 200 miles. It has HMF full exhaust, twin air filter, Dyna Tech FS ignition. The owner told be it had been rejetted to the HMF spec. Air fuel mixure was left at stock setting??? The bike runs fine until you crack the throttle then it spits and sputters and loses power. Any ideas for this one? Also the previous owner took the stock rev limiter out of the bike. 2nd question- when the bike is turned off the actuator on the right side of ther motor continues to make noises. (like the one it makes when you first start riding from a dead stop) Need to disconnect the battery for it to stop? Thanks, Irish

I can answer the 2nd question for you. That sound is normal. Theres an actuator motor that engages the engine braking and then disengages when you turn the quad off.

It keeps making the sound every 15-20 seconds. I turned the quad off and it was making " the sound" 2 hours later???

The first question might check your belt, is your belt light on?? It will do that if the belt is bad. I own a 2004 P-700

Does it clear up after the sputter or won't it rev at all? If it's just stumble then it goes, you should shim the needles with a #4 washer becuase it's lean in the mid throttle position. If it won't rev at all, take the air filter off and rev the engine, check to see if both slides are opening, you may need to use the choke so it will rev because it will be very lean without the lid on the box. If one does not open take the black cover of that carb and check the rubber diafram for cracks or holes, also there is a small plastic crown looking piece down in the slide, make sure it's not blocking the small hole in the slide. It can be a pain to get the diafram to seal sometimes so take you time with it and make sure it's clean.

As for the actuator running,I can't remember if it the acuator or the module that causes that condition

The belt light is not on. The dyna tech over rides the belt light so that it will not come on. I put a stock ignition back in the bike and it is still doing the same thing. It almost feels like it is not getting enough fuel? I will try you tips asnowmobiler and see what happens. Thank-you.
