gosh, i cant balieve how many people are so upsessed with power. There is only a certain amount of power you can have. To much will leave you with problems in rough tough stuff. You guys must ride in easy terrain because there is no way a big 800-950 would work with me. By the way, i think the power wars need to stop. People with no experience will be getting hurt buying an atv with way to much power. THey need to work on handling, reliability, and other important features instead of power.

Any idea how this thing is going to compare to an 07 brute. I would imagine the EFI adding somewhere areound 5hp. I am kind of disappointed that the 08 brute is not an 800, but we will see how it does around the competition. I might have to spend the extra money for a new 950 kitty cat.</end quote></div>
EFI will not add any HP, it just make it more responsive and fuel efficiant. The 750 efi will have the same HP.

In the last 6 yrs I have owned a Kawie VTwin, I have never used the back-up pull rope, so that is not a concern for me. If I need a start, then the ATV jumper cables will do the trick, as I have seen them in action on other 4wheelers.</end quote></div>
Dead batterys aren't the only reason an electric starter won't work. I I think they should be on all quads. After all, these don't get ran in optimum conditions. I hope that if anyone finds out the solenoid isn't engaging, or whatever, that it happens in the garage. Belt drive clutches aren't "push-startable" LOL

GE4X4,
I was talking real world hp, not the factory specs. I know the 51hp is probably not going to change but here in Iowa the temp/humidity flucuates quite a bit, so while the factory rating may not change, usable power will, unless you have the time to retune carbs for all seasons. Anyway carbs are only good if you have them dialed in all the time, and I would rather just hop on and go. As far as factory specs though, you are right, it should not change.

the new cat is WAAY to tall, DO ANY OF YOU WANT TO RIDE A 49.3" TALL QUAD??..... NO ONE?.... DIDNT THINK SO.....
the only good thing about the cat, is that it wil be able to wheelie, (i sure hope it can, but it IS 70lbs more than the outty 800) The racks still only hold 300lbs combined, and the towing capacity is only 1050 lbs, our suzuki eiger has pulled WAY more than that-- it must have a weak hitch then

What the heck are you talking about? 49" isn't that tall. Everyone who has ever owned an ATV knows the towing rating is only for liability reasons. And only 70lbs more the then Outty 800 seems pretty impressive actually for Arctic Cat.
