I knew that it was coming, maybe too late though. AC introducing a 950 with EFI steals everybody's thunder. I have had a 700 and a 750i and I will still take my Kawi's through thick and thin.

to tell ya the truth, i think that new arctic cat is dumb. I hate all these atvs that just get more poer. I want refinments to handling and so on kinda like what kawi did to the brute for 08. It sits a little lower for better handling.

Narrower, lower, smaller racks, EFI. Looks Good. 605lbs.
Bet the new AC950 weighs a ton. I notice they didn't mention the dry weight in the specs. Arctic Pig

No dry weight was mentioned, and I am sure it will still be on the heavy. But Arctic Cat did redesign it to give it smaller racks, lower seat hight, adjustable handlebars, better adjustable suspension, EFI, etc. The didn't just slap a new engine into the old frame.

Looks like the recoil back up went away on the '08 Brute!

In the last 6 yrs I have owned a Kawie VTwin, I have never used the back-up pull rope, so that is not a concern for me. If I need a start, then the ATV jumper cables will do the trick, as I have seen them in action on other 4wheelers.
I like the Looks of the '008BF750, the painted front bumper is a easy fix, just repaint it with the Krylon Fusion Spray paint (Black) or order a '008 BF650i frt bumper for the '008BF750.
By keeping the '008BF750EFI as a 750 the price is also lower & decent compared to the other new Offerings (Cat 950, ouch).
I have found Both of my BF750s (05 & 07) to have the power I need.
I have owned Cats before, they are not designed for fast riding thru the forest, where the Brute is.
Maybe Kawasaki did a better job too on the stock shocks this time on the '008, if not, The WORKS will fix it too. Nicer softer seat too on the '008, it is about time.
Along with the EFI, nicer looking wheels, upgraded & improve suspension settings, neat Colors to pick from, including a New Painted Blue & a Orange colored plastics & a Very decent Price, I'd bet this '008 BF750 EFI sells like "Hot Cakes".

Any idea how this thing is going to compare to an 07 brute. I would imagine the EFI adding somewhere areound 5hp. I am kind of disappointed that the 08 brute is not an 800, but we will see how it does around the competition. I might have to spend the extra money for a new 950 kitty cat.
