Front diff grinding on 05 bf750
#1
I need some help. I am new to the forum, and am searching for answers, and hopefully save some cash.
I have a 05 Bforce 750, that I bought used. It ran great when I first got it. I recently went to a friends house to play in the mud, and was challenged to cross a water hole. Well, he should have called it a lake!. I was up to the front rack, and the back rack was about six inches under. I know, STUPID ME!! Well I got it back to the garage, and flushed the oil a couple of times, and changed the fileter. It is good now.
Problem; I am hearing a grinding noise coming from the front end. Like it is dragging, or something is jacked up. I checked the fluid level and it is good. I am wondering if I have gotten water and dirt in the diff, and if that would cause the problem. And how can I take care of it, without taking it to the stealership. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Better check your outer cv boots make sure they are not ripped. Then make sure there is no grit/sand/gravel around disc brakes. My sons BF 650 is getting one outer cv joint& boot,AND all new disc brake pads. only 26 hours on quad. he used the front brakes while creek riding and thats a NO-NO especially if you do not super clean the area around the CV jointa and front brakes after riding (immediately)!
