Default Mojave Rear brake Problem

I tried to put new pads on the rear brakes but the pads wont fit over the disk. How far is the piston suppose to compress into the caliper housing?....This one sticks up about 3/16 inch when fully compressed and now the EBC pads still wont go over the disk...I even removed the brake line and the E-brake arm thinking they were holding it........Anyone know?

My dad and I had the same problem and we managed to squeeze them in there somehow but now there's no braking action via the cable so something must have gotten messed up in the process.

i have no idea buddy, you might wanna try another place to get the brakes. I just changed a rotor on my explorer, and i had to go back to the same place three times because it was the wrong rotor each time. My fault for not taking the rotor in, but i was by myself, so I kinda had to drive there besides the 3rd time.

either that, or i would say maybe the piston is seized up and won't go in any farther or something of that sort.
