hi im buying an atv for my first time and i need something lil powerfull but 2000 or less does this look good or not

i called him he said he broke his ankle last time he rode it and it needs new back brake pads and whats up with the handle bars he said he is selling it cheap because he has to pay off his morgage. i dont know if it is a joke or not but look at the web page and let me know

 

looking at all that it certainly looks like it was raced. Whenever you see a tether kill switch you know it was probably raced.

But I guess for 2K it really doesn't matter. That is pretty cheap. I would look at the frame near the front shock mounts VERY close, the early years broke in that location under racing stress. But for the money, and if you don't mind having to put more into it later, it might not be a bad deal.

 

the bars do look bent. the a-arms look like stock length so the stock ones likely bent in a roll over with the handle bars. I'd say it was probably raced too. Doesnt hurt to go ride it or atleast look at it.

 

Thats a really cheap price, looks like its been raced, usually cheap four wheelers like that have something wrong with it, it is definently worth looking at, when you look at it ask for him to crank it and you go ride and make sure it shifts good and everything is right,
if you do get it youll love it, i love my kfx 400

 

Like the others have said, it looks like it may have been rolled. 03 was the year for the frame to crack, definitely look closely at that.

If it was raced, then he's taken off the nerfs, and the foot wells.

I'd be looking at it more as a parts bike just from the pics. A closer inspection and ride may either confirm it, or prove it is a deal.
