Which Kawasaki for son?
#1
Looking for any opinions on which Kawasaki 4-wheeler is most like the Yamaha Blaster? Getting one for my son, who is almost 13. He has ridden quite a bit around the yard, and some small trails in the woods by our house. All on his friends Polaris 90 and little brothers Kawasaki 50. He hasn't had any problems on the 90, it almost seems to easy for him, so I really don't want to waste money on a 90, not too mention it will be too small very shortly here.
The Yamaha Blaster seems like a good choice for him. A big step up from some piddly 90, yet not too much for him to handle and able to grow into with ease. Wondering if there are any models from Kawasaki similar to this?

opps fogot to ad the only think near the blaster that Kawasakiis the 90 the only thing near the blaster is the replacment 250.......................<<<<<< <forgot that part
you can always detone the 250
if you can teach him to use a clutch go with the yamaha if you think a auto would be better look at the suzuki 250 and detone it
just my .2 cents

Check your state requirments before you buy anything. A lot of states are going to limiting CC sizes for children 16 and under. It's refured to as "Chandlers Law" In the participating states children up to 16 cannot ride anything larger than a 90cc. I disagree with the law but you might want to check into it before you buy.

Kawasaki next size up is the Bayou 250, We have our son on a Yamaha 125, which is a good halfway point to a larger quad..</end quote></div>
ya the bayou 250 is the next set up...fun little quad great for everything trail riding pull things around the house and is a good size for both younger kids and grown-ups...the blaster probably is a little too advanced at that age cuz its a 2 stroke and it requires more knowledge to run and maintain...also its a clutch has no reverse and is kick start...id say probably some good opitions at his age would be honda's 250ex, suzuki's LTZ250, both shaft driven, electric starters, reverse, auto clutch which is fairly easy to get the hang of rather than him having to feather a clutch times when hes riding...also pretty much unbetable quads for the prices...very reliable as well...then always in a few years you can either sell that one and upgraded to a 400 or something or just keep it to have...but really depends wut u are looking for...if you want him to have a sport quad or a more utility machine...
sport quads
-honda 250ex
-suzuki ltz250
-polaris trailblazer 250
utility quad
-kawasaki bayou 250
-honda recon 250
-suzuki ozark 250
just a few opitions and quads to take a look at..see which ones he feels the best on and likes being how hes goin to be riding it...
