Default Brute force 750 4x4i

Hi all,
as you can see I am very new to this place.
Well i hope have the correct section.

My ATV has only around 18-14 hours max
I used it once during winter and sat for rest. I had to now to pull start to get it running ... took some time but got it running. when i let it warmup and i start to drive it runs fine for about 100 feet then just shuts right off. and thats all she wrote. I also took note that the display did not show anything and it flickerd on and off. there is a winch attached.

can this be some type of short ?
i added fresh gas to it .. I changed the pulg snd the old one was very black.
any ideas?
Thanks

sounds like you need a new battery and it is running to lean with the pipes glowing like that. i would bet that from sitting so long that your carbs are gummed up maybe even some bad or gummed up fuel in your tank i would clean the carbs out first then retry

If it sat for that long and you had to pull start it, sounds like the battery was severely drained or even dead. Chances are that the fuel in the carb dried up over time and varnished, which could clog jets, etc.

The battery needs to be fully charged and the carbs cleaned before you do anything else. Running it overly lean for too long can burn valves or even the piston. The last thing you want to do is create serious engine problems or failure by continuing to run it in it's present condition.

If you are not going to ride it much then invest in a "Battery Tender".
