Default HELP PLEASE

I borrowed a Kawaski brute force from a friend of mine and today while i was riding it i started getting backfire as i tried to accelerate. It also prevented me from going above 15 mph. Does anyone know what could have caused this to happen??? I did ride for about 3 hours with no problem and then blam outta no where. Someone please help!

Does it have Diff Lock on it? Some will limit the speed (similar to the way it limits the reverse speed) when Diff Lock is active. If there is an Override button, you can try pressing that and seeing if it accelerates better.

the "reset thingy" isa procedure you do in order to get the quad running past a certain rpm. You have to unplug 2 sets of wiring harnesses, mismatch them, and turn the ingition switch on and off in order to reset the "Limp Mode" (belt light). Pretty simple if you have the service manual
