As I look more into the '08 BF750, I come to realize that this might be the best ATV that Kawi has ever built. The old carbed 750 had some shortcomings but many of that got fixed or improved on the 08 (4th year 750), and EFI as the major bonus. The EFI mapping is also well done as it provides a silky smooth power delivery without any stalling, hesitation or abruptness. Very tempting to trade in my '05 and get this.

Well I put on Bear Claws this weekend, but I now have a problem with the tire place that put them on. I asked them if they could put on the tires without scuffing up my rims and they said that isn't a problem. Well come to find out when I come to put the rims on my NEW Brute, they have scrapes and deep scratches on the rims. The reason I didn't look when I was still there was because I thought the guys word was worth something. That and they loaded them in the back of the truck. I guess it goes to show people's word these days aren't worth a $#!#. They were closed by the time I noticed the makes so I left the business a couple messages. I told them they should replace them or I will take them to court. The Brute was a week old and only rode twice and that was in the yard and driveway. All four have scratches, but two are really bad.

Anything like this happen to you? If so what do you think my options are. Court would be that last option.

I had a similar experience a while ago.
I bought a set of nice mag alloy rims ($200 ea.) for my car and had a local independent tire shop install new low profile tires. While mounting the tires, they managed to BREAK one of the rims at the center hub area while I was watching. No refund for the rim and still charged me for installaton of the tires. Instead of an apology, they just pointed finger at a small sign on the shop wall saying "Not responsible for damages on alloy wheels during tire installation."
Lucky just scratches on yours.

I decided to just put on ITP SS rims. The tire place is going to refinish my stock ones for me, but now this gives me a reason to get new rims. After they finish fixing my rims I'm going to sell the chrome rims with stock tires. Would eBay be my best option to try and sell those? What would be a good price. I just want to get rid of them because I have no need for two sets.

It is normal (but shouldn't be) and it is one of the weaknesses it has that owners should be aware of.

Ebay is great, but the shipping cost would be through the roof. Unless you specified the sale is for local buyers and that they must pick up the wheels. Another option would be to list them in your local newspaper. I'm sure they would sell just as long as you didn't want top dollar for them.

Good luck!
