on by bayou when trying to start evening been jumped cdi gets hot does that mean it gone bad and no spark

 

That is hard to read. Is it supposed to say, "On my bayou, when trying to start,,,, even been jumped, cdi gets hot. Does that mean its gone bad and no spark?"???

CDI getting hot cant be a good sign. CDI's going out seems to be "in the air" lately. Hate to buy a new CDI without being sure its not something else though. Do you have a manual?
