Hello. This is my first time posting. I've got a '03 kfx400 and tried the mod to the cdi where you remove 2 wires and jump 2 more. Thing is after I did this I had no fire at all. I do have a white brothers box if it makes a difference. What I did was remove the black/red and blue/black wires and taped them up. Then I jumped the black/brown and black/white wires. Everything was as it was supposed to be (checked everything). I was wondering if it could be the aftermarket box wired different. Thanks for any help!

 

Try it with the original cdi.
