I work for a large federal hospital. We have had Kawasaki Mules for a few years now. Our department just took delivery of a new 2008 Brute Force 750i just a few minutes ago. I just rode it and I must say it rides great. I am looking forward to seeing how it stacks up to my personal Polaris X2 500 EFI. I'll keep you posted.

I work for a very large facility and we use them for transportation and hauling. Our grounds shop pulls a small trailer with push mowers, blowers, etc. Deep South, so no snow in about four years now. The Brute was a classic example of good ol' fashioned government waste. They had the money so they bought two. Even though we didn't need them, they had to spend the money. They just dropped about $65,000 on campus wide big screen LCD TVs.

prepare for a lift-off, compared to your X2 Sportsman, this Kawi is a rockect.
I own a 2006 Sportsman 500 HO and 2006 Kawasaki KFX 700 so I have a good idea what the differnce is.
I am looking into buying the 2008 Brute Force to replace the Sportsman so I would be interested to hear more about your thoughts and experience on this ATV.

OK - Week 1 is finished. Not much seat time in the last few days. As Yamy350 pointed out, power is plentiful. What I don't like is the huge amount of engine braking (compared to my popo anyway). Man, you let off the gas and if your not careful, handlebar samich. I haven't read the owner's manual yet (shame on me I know). Can anyone tell me how to use the diff lock - yellow handle on the left handlebar?

OK - It's been a couple of weeks and I finally got to spend some time on the Brute. I will be giving a short ATV safety talk with some hands on training later this week. I must say that I am impressed with the power of the Brute. The fit and finish also seems to be Kawasaki quality (a good thing, I think). The only negative that I have noticed is a peaceful whining coming from somewhere under the plastic - possibly the rear end. It sounds a bit like a turbo spooling up and the pitch seems to increase with speed. Also, I've put about 4.5 miles on it since new and that equates to about 1/2 of a tank of gas. Is that normal??!?
