does any one have an opinion on the kfx 450. im looking to buy a new quad in the 450 class and im not sure which one i should get. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. thanks

 

The 450 is a good bike, a buddy of mine has one, it runs as good or better than the other 450's IMO. If I was in the market for a 450 I would not hesitate to get the KFX.

 

The latest Dirt Wheels magazine has an article about all of the 450's currently out there. The rate the KFX 450 towards the bottom of the list. I know I do not put a whole bunch of faith in Dirt Wheels but it does have the good and bad listed for each 450. Might be worth checking the mag out if you are looking for one of the 450's.

 

They have another 7 quad test in ATV Sport, in that one the KFX is close to the bottom, but I never do rely on these tests, the fact is that the KFX looks like a trend setting quad, its got the aluminum frame, great fuel injection and reverse too. Because of this, it looks like a great all round quad and has the best features out of the 6 other 450s, just make sure you test drive it first, ergonomics vary from person to person.

 

EXACTLY, ride one then decide, but I think you will like it.

I really liked the yfz450 I used to have but the reverse on pretty much the same bike is a real plus... but thats just my lazy choice...

Make sure that they give you a full run down, my friend who has one did not know it had a choke, the bike wouldn't start if it got cold out.

 

Yes they ran me through every thing i wouldn't of thought it had a choke but they showed me it and were everything was. I love it only got to ride or 5 min today cause its 30 outside. It fells really diff from what my 400 was.

 

O yea don't give it gas when you try to start it lol . It wont start I was used to the carb on my other bikes
