KFX 700 are not fuel injected. You will have to re-jet and open the air intake to reep the bennies of a new pipe. I can't believe the dealer would not know they where not injected. If you want all the skinny on KFX 700,see below.

Kawasaki KFX 700 do not come with fuel injection. It does not make sense why you would unhook and re-hook the battery to adjust for the new muffler. 700s are carburated and any adjustments made would have to be, new jetting, air mix readjusted, needle shim, and perhaps a pilot jet change. Simply adding a less restrictive muffler will not benifit you much at all with out upgrading your intake. example K&N air cleaner, air box mods ect... It was explained to me as "air in ,air out". When you modify air box and exhaust, you need to rejet accordingly. I would not attempt re-jetting if you are not familiar with the technique. I would recomend a shop do it, but not the shop that thinks these are fuel injected. I would recoment you visit the forums I recomended on my first post, there are folks there that know tons more about 700's than I do and are eager to help you with your quest to have a faster 700.

I raced a guy in waynoka ok that just had a slip on and I think it hurt his performance. My 700 was bone stock and I beat him.But you might get a little better sound out of your 700.Like these guys said, the fuel injection is bull.

I don't think so, You need to check you spark plug color to determine wether you are to lean or rich. If its running ok ,your more than likely ok. also monitor your radiator fan, if its comming on more frequently than before, it could be lean.

Your lookin for a light brown color. White too lean, Black and or wet too rich.
