Default New Extreme Winch on a 07 650BF (SRA)

Hello All,
I just purchased a Extreme 3000x winch (eBay) and ran into a few issues while installing the "mounting Plate". If you have experience installing this winch on the mentioned quad, please advise....Thanks in advance...

1) Did you have to "trim" the plastic Radiator Schroud (right & left side) once the winch is installed on the mounting plate??

2) Where did you mount the "Winch Contractor Block" and run/feed the power cables??

Thanks All
Eddie

Ok...I installed mine but a Warren..

1) I did not trim the plastic...Tight fit around the motor and terminals for the winch are tight to the palstic

2) I mounted the contractor block above the radiator..Should be a shroud for top of the radiator, above that is a area between outer plastic and top shroud with a brace bar. Mounted block to bar. In that little area is also two wires for accessories that are key controlled. Hook up red winch wire to red cable. Ran black/red cables back to battery and yellow/blue to winch.

Hope this helps

I installed a Viper from motoalliance.com and never have any cutting or problems on my 2006 BF 650i.

I'd say you have the wrong bracket.

I mounted the contactor block on the rear frame next to the canister bracket (as per the instructions).

There is a difference between the 650 SRA and I.The SRA has plastic shielding in the inner wheel well to protect against water/mud splashing on engine, the i does not...That is his issue for fitment
