Hello all it's been a while since Mud's been on here and I appologize for that. I need help, My 2003 prairie 360 has a flashing 4x4 light all the times. It will still engage and disengage into and out of 4wd but the flashing light never goes away? Any suggestions

No replies and that's ok. Thought I would pass on the repair anyway, just in case anyone else ever encounters the same.

It turned out that the rubber protector for the wires going into my 4x4 solinoid had a very small almost unoticible cut in it. apperently every time I got even the slightest amount of moisture in it that it caused just enough of an electrical ground to cause the light to flash.

It took me quite a while to finally find it but some RTV was the fix!!! Hope this helps others in the future.

Mine is doing the same thing but not flashing all the time. It will not engage unless I turn it off and back on. Then the light goes out and it will engage.

 

The OP's description is very unusal - 4x4 flashing but 4x4 engagement is fine. By design, whenever the 4x4 light is flashing, it is not supposed to engage. But he said it did.... that's something new.
