Default Fender Trimming

I see a lot of mojaves and other bikes that have had the front fenders and mud flaps cut or completely off. is this necassary or needed to be competitve to race. i think it looks good but dont know how much to do and what to cut with if i need to? thanks

Default Fender Trimming

No it is not necessary. Most people do it just for the look they want. If your thinking of trimming your fenders I would recomend using some masking tape to play around with different looks. Once you have the tape set where you want it and are sure it's straight you just follow along the edge of the tape with a sharp razor or box knife. Be careful take your time and smooth out the part that you cut with some super fine sand paper. Doing a good job will take some time. If you just half azz it then it'll show in the finished product. Also make sure you like the look with the tape. Because once you start cutting it's a done deal.
