Go to a dealer and check out how it is mounted on the newer Brutes. Then look at a schematics of it to see what all parts are involved for ordering.

I think it could be done relatively easily...probably have to do a bit of cutting...

I believe a guy on other forums, put a front fender dry storage container from a Grizz 700 on his Sportsman 500 X2. Said it went pretty well.

Well the cutting was what I was worried about. I dont want to do any but if it requires cutting the rack in order to get it to fit I guess I will. Or how about just putting a rack from an 08 on my 06? I guess thats a possibility.

Like I said, you should go check out a newer Brute to see what all is diff than yours. I mainly was saying the plastic will need cutting, not sure but I would imagine so. Dunno about the rack. You could always look into putting a dry storage off of a Grizz 700 or King 700/750 on the Brute, might work...

this what I used cost @ 50 bucks it goes excactly into the same spot same screws the only thing you need to change is the rack you will have to cut it where it overlaps over the box but its no problem I got some plugs to go in the holes for a couple bucks at Home depot it will take you less then 20 mins start to finish and you will love haveing that box
