Default Fender Welder

I have a a couple cracks in my 07 BF 650i (Silver). HAve been looking areound for solutions and i came across this one. I like the price tag on this opposed to new front and rear fenders from Kawasaki. Has anybody ever tried / heared of welding the plastic fenders back together?
I don't know if this will work anyways on the Brute Force's because the fenders are actually hard plastic thats painted, instead of the softer polyurethane type.

Anyways, any thoughts?

Yes it will work but you won't be able to make it look nice. I've got one.

Ok I think I might buy the one listed on that website. What about colors? What color is your bike? Mine is silver and they don't list silver welding Rods. In the basic package they include "natural rods" do you know what color these are. Are your fenders painted like mine or were they made that color?
Also they talk about Wire mesh to put on the underside of the fender to make it stronger. do you know anything about that? After you fixed yours did you paint over it and if so how did it turn out? any pictures of it?

Take it to any good body shop, they can fix it.

Your always going to see the repair, but better than the crack getting out of control.

I use the Threebond Plastic repair kit and it works great. If you do the repair soon enough and the break is clean, it does a great job hiding the damage. It has a fiberglass mesh that you apply to the back side to give it strength. Body shops are a great source of repair since they do damaged soft bumpers all day. You can buy the same stuff at your local auto body supply if you have the skills.
