My friend has a Kawi Mojave and loves it. He also belongs to this site. I will tell him to log on and talk with you. Not sure he will be able to help you with your suspension mods but I'm sure he'll try. I own a Suzuki Ozark 250. We go riding together in my woods, and at times, I'm jealous of his ATV...
But I get back at him when I pull him out of the mud with my Interco Swamp Lites tires!! HA!
His user name is KawiMojave, incase you see him around the site!

hey im not really knew to the forum but i had to get a new acount. Ive had a mojave for about a year now and ive had some problems but im workn on fixn it up real nice. do you know what a good rear shock would be. cant be to expensive though. also my motor knocks on the top end at low rpms it seems do you know what may cause this?

yo yo smittyyyyy!!!!! For a rear shock i would say works shocks. Thier cheaper than say elka, peps, or some of the other brands. I know honda 250r shocks work but you have to find one that came off of a no link swing arm. Im glad to see that there are mojave dudes around....in my area im the only guy with one and i get so much attention for it. People always are surprized to know its a mojave, specially them 400ex guys from the city that think they could ride....they cry when i whoop their asses in a querter mile drag!

yea same here im the only one around there was one other guy but his kickstarter went out and a pice fell in the transmisson and he cant get it out so he left it at the shop and isnt going to pick it up. he said i could for like 230 which is the cost of the work the did. but yea my mojave is stock and my friends hate the way it sounds and it did smoke and the rear bearings went out so there not likeing it rite now but im in the process of rebuilding it and changeing that. yea how cheap can you find a works shock?

Me and my cousin both have mojaves i like to think of it as a family thing lol. Recently he blew his up and put a 250 street bike motor in it (6th gear). Its sooo much faster (kfx700 killer) i dont get it!! Im sellin mine soon buyin an 08 400ex so i can keep up a little better but im sure ill miss the old mojave sometimes .
I wish i could have them both but i have too much money into the thing as it is.

I have a Mojave I picked up a few years ago as a basket case. So far I have rebuilt everything on it - New bearings, seals, gaskets etc. I figure if I have the thing down I might as well go thru it completely and know its put together right. The doofus kid I bought it from was going to put a CR500 motor in the thing. I figured I was doing his parents a favor by getting it out of his hands before he killed himself. Right now I am searching for a carb, as the old one had the linkage broken so bad the throttle cable was held on with zip ties. Also looking for a good rear shock with out shelling out a ton of money on it.

I would but apparently, all the picture files I have are too big to post here. I guess thats the price I pay for using my wife's fancy camera. I checked yours out though and your Mojave looks pretty sharp. Those were some big a$$ tires on the back of that thing !
