Brute Force question
#12
To those who don't know already the Brute 750 is a cold natured huzzy. If you let it sit at idle with the choke on it will foul the plug every time. My 05 spits and sputters a little bit until the motor get good and hot. I have also been told that it s time to get the valves adjusted when this back firing and stumbling starts. Anyone else heard this.

In regard to your carb cleaning, I'll bet that you didn't get the carbs really clean. I have tried cans of spray carb cleaner on various carburators during my life and more than 75% the time they will not do the job. If you can do it, take the carb off, and soak it in a gallon of carb cleaner you can buy at your auto parts store for a day or two. Rinse it off and blow it out with a hose. Be sure to take off anything such as O rings and what not that would be damaged or lost.
Also, try taking a guitar string and push it gently through the various orifices sometime during the procedure. If you don't want to take the carb off then you might want to try some Seafoam. Also, one small engine mechanic swears by boiling the carb in a water and tide solution. Throughly rinse before reinstalling.
Bottom line is, I'll bet dollars to donuts you didn't get the carb throughly clean.
