I'm considering an 89 buyou 300 2wd as a 2nd bike. It's in good shape body wise, good plastic, racks, rims etc. It's a little weak on power for this particular bike but doesn't smoke but you can smell the exhaust a little. It sat for about 2 years. The seller is supposed to tune it up, clean carb, new plug, adjust valves to help w/power problem. At the same time, you can hop on this thing and ride for about $1300.00. The front end needs attention (bushings) but the brakes seem good. Any thing to lookout for or any comments on the model?? I've heard that most of the Bayous are the same design. Any insight appreciated.

Get it, mine is a 93 and no problems yet, only a spark plug now and then. Very easy to ride, great steering, good brakes, easy to maintain, and they dont show wear and tear.
