I was wondering if a fram oil filter would work instead of a kawi oil filter?

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Yes, Fram filters are good. </end quote></div>

You may want to click ME and go down to the bottom and rethink if Fram filters are any good.

I repair cars for a living and Fram, Wix, etc... are all good filters.

I use the powersports line from Wix, no problems.

If Fram has a crossover # that is the same as a Kawa filter go with it! just as long as it's the same fit and function it's fine. Are the microns of filtration different between the two? Doubt it! Just don't skimp on the oil. Why pay $10 for a filter when you can pay $3.50 for the same thing with a different name on it!

Did you even read the link I gave you? Or do you just guess?
How many filter have you cut apart in your life? Bet I can guess!!!

Here's a thought. Take the Kowie filter and cut one in half and take the Fram and cut it in half. Stevie Wonder could tell the difference between the two.

Ok I see where this is gonna go! Yes I did read your link, and as you put in writing it's your opinion! I have cut factory filters apart vs. aftermarket filters, yes some aftermarket filters have less surface area than factory ones. But filtering qualities are the same or very close to it. Put oil through both of them and put both examples under a microscope!!!!!!!!!! Leave it to an engineer to try to put a 3/8in bolt in a 1/4in hole! Doesn't work does it?????????? Oh wait you're an electrical engineer. Take your opinion and write another opinionated page on the web!!!!!!!!!! By the way Mr.Educated This guy wants to know if there is a filter that'll fit his quad beside a factory one. Thats all! Is there any lab proof backing up your "opinion"? Do some research and lets talk Microns. Opinions are like what? Who has them? everyone! Yes there are other options for this fella that asked a simple question!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey doc,
Why are you using automotive filters in your "research"? If you're gonna order people to buy what you want them to, at least relate it to the subject! Do you work for Kawasaki or something and are getting salty because in todays economy people want to buy less expensive parts that give the same results? Show me real truth and I'll shut up!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not "opinions"
