I just got a 94 Kawasaki 300 Bayou. The guy I got it from had put a new timing chain,gears and valves. He couldn't get it started and ended up selling to me dirt cheap. I changed the timing 180 and it started right up. The 4 wheeler sit there and idles great but when you give it about half throttle it backfires and shoot flames out the muffler. I first thought it might be the carb but I also have a 95 300 bayou and its got a good carb on it and I put it on it and still has the flames coming out the pipe. Any ideas???

 

Does it have the stock exhaust?
