my belt light is flashing and the engine will no longer rev out. Any ideas?

 

you have to reset it, buy the shop maunual it gives detailed instuctions on how to inspect the belt and reset the light. Or send it to the stealer they will do it

 

Check the older Kawasaki threads. On 5-21-2008 KMKjr posted a link that shows a 700 manual that might help.

 

this is what i do on my kfx700 .........

lift seat
find fuse link
black n gray connectors
unplug connectors
connect black to gray n gray to black
turn ignition switch on
there will be a series of blinks
let this happen for 45 seconds or so
this will reset light
turn off ignition switch and reconnect wires to their original place.

check your belt..........
