i own a 2004 kawasaki kfx400. when i am riding in first gear not going to fast i can hear a knocking noise... well actually 2 different knocking noises... one comes from the top part of the engine it makes a knocking noise like every 7 seconds when i'm riding slow... and the other knocking noise i am not for sure where it comes from. it is some where in the lower/back part of the four wheeler.. i dunno if its my chain or an engine problem or what... can someone help me with one of my two annoying noises please.

 

Just going out on a limb, and I don't know a lot about the 400 Kawi but is it possible that it is the timing chain and valves slapping the piston at certain times. Call me crazy but I thought I would throw it out there.
