i recently ruined my rear cv joint and have puchased a new one. it is all assembled, i just need to grease it and put it on w/ the boot. on the axle shaft there are grooves where the joint slides on and there is a place for a ring. do i place the ring on then slide the cv joint on so that it will lock in. i have a pack of grease, how is that applied. thanks for any help
