I installed some lights on my son's 09 KFX 90, only to find that the engine doesn't charge the battery. Is there a mod out there for this? Any suggestions?

 

The stators on the LT80, KFX80/90, and other small quads were only meant to charge the battery, any more draw, like add on lights, and the battery will not charge. When my son was little, I put the smallest wattage lights I could find on, and then only used them at dusk for short rides, or it would drain the battery. There should be a higher output stator available in the aftermarket.
