Default 2007 or 2008 Bruteforce 750

I have been quad less for a few years now but am looking at a possible purchase. My last machine was a 2004 Prairie 700. The local dealer has a leftover 2007 Bruteforce 750 and a 2008 demo Bruteforce 750 with approx. 20 hrs. on it. They are both going around $6,000 and both qualify for the $69 winch. Which one would be the better? Also, is there any difference between the two?

One other question, coming off a straight axle 4 wheeler, how will I like the independent rear suspension? I use to like power sliding my Prairie 700 on trails.

The 2007 is carb model and the 08 is Fuel injected. Check that for sure I have heard of some 08's with carbs??? I have a 2005 P700 Team Green and I love the rear wheel steering. The Independent rear can do a little but it is not the same as the solid rear axel. My P700 is faster than my friends 07 BF 750. His does have a smoother ride. The 08 BF with FI would be nice. You can get a BF650 with the solid rear axel. No Fi?
That is why Kaw needs a BF 750 with FI and a solid rear axel. Good Luck

THE 08 is an all around better machine. It is fuel injected, which alone is leaps and bounds ahead of a carb unit. The fuel these days gel up in 3 weeks, and then a carb clean is ganna run u $150 every time you have it done. the 08 also has all new suspension that eliminates the tippyness from the 07. also they change the wheels on the 08 to a super light aluminum, yet still tough. my opinion is go for the 08. its a better deal.

Most people round here clean carbs themselves for the cost of carb cleaner.

Kawi has been using alumium wheels on ALL their recent ATVs. On '07 and all prior BF750s (& Prairies, KFX, etc.), wheels were still all aluminum but stamped and painted which made them look like steel. In fact, the '08 wheels might be even heavier because they appear to be chunkier.

Go look at them. The 07 is noticeably bigger, but the 08 will handle better. The 07 also has more mods available and will make it crazy fast. I like the 07's better, but the EFi and better handling is nice also. It's a pretty big difference in handling coming from a Prairie though. Either way, look for wheels and tires first. They need them right away, IMO.

For 08 they lowerd the center of grativty, therefor less tipy with less GC=ground clearance, I prefer carbs because Efi is kinda screwy wile if u get dirt in a carb it just burns it, efi will make ur life crazy if ur not used to it

I would not even consider the 07 over the 08. With the 08 model you get the handling improvements along with EFI. The EFI has crazy throttle response. I had a Raptor 660 and bought the BF 750 this past december. The transition from solid axle to IRS wasnt a problem for me. The independent suspension BF can powerslide just fine. Also, if you tow stuff, dont let people tell you that you need a solid axle. I pull a 17 cu ft cart out of the woods heaped in oak and it dont hardly sag. I think people just regurgitate what they read online and exaggerate it even more. I have no problems with the IRS, I like it better. It gives a lot better ride than a solid axle.

Anyways, I would definitely go with the 08. First things first though, get different tires. Stockers are horrible!
