I have a 92 Bayou 300 4x4 and I am still having issues. I have replaced the Ignition Coil and CDI band I have a good spark (I think it is good enough). I rebuilt the carb (was not in bad shape) and it still will not start. I have compression (not measured just tested with finger over plug hole) so I am now at a loss as to what the issue could be.

Give it a few squirts of starter fluid, and see. It should start right up if there is a spark.

I use Bradex Easy Start - it's made by holts. Just don't spray it for two seconds like the bottle says to do. That's for big diesels. Just a few squirts totaling between 3/4 and second. Try a bit more if it still won't start.

(Take air filter off, spray down air intake, then set to half choke)

 

UPDATE!!!!!!

I had placed the recommended spark plug in the Bayou and had a spark but I guess not enough. The Kawasaki dealer put a "Hotter" plug in and now it is running fine. I am at 4500 feet so I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not but incase anyone else has a simular issue I figure I would post the results.
