Default Brute vs Rincon which too buy.

I am buying a new four wheeler too use around my farm (spray, burn pasture, chase cows, etc). I have narrowed my search between what I have heard as the powerless but reliable Rincon and the powerhouse that has lots of problems and you better keep your wrenches handy Brute Force 750. I am wanting something reliable that I don't have to give alot of TLC. I can buy both models in the 2009, the brute is about 1000 dollars cheaper. Honda dealer is 15 min. from home, Kawi dealer 1 1/2 hours. What do you guys think?

Kawasaki will have more tourque and top end speed. Full locking front differential that you pull a lever with your left hand to activate. Both are solid workhorses. Rincon is probably more reliable and will handle better but doesn't have the power or top speed or full front locker. In your case I would be inclined to go with the Rincon mostly because of the dealer situation. If they were an equal distance it would be a toss up to me.

Thats a tough decision , I have not heard too bad about the brute 750 though. The Rincon should be bullet proof as are most honda products. Now if you are just using it for around the farm consider this a 650 Brute with SRA, you will get that for $$$$ cheaper than the 750 Brute or Rincon, unless you must have IRS. I have had zero probs. with mine. Good luck. Let us know.

my thoughts exactly-
only- I'd make the drive for the brute- What's a few bucks in gas and a 3 hour drive when you're considering spending thousands on an atv you'll most likely have for the next 10 years. Honda has no locking front diff. I'd take the brutes 750cc twin cylinder with locking diff anyday over the single cylinder honda. If you're pulling heavy equipment, you'll want that locking diff- especially in the sloppy dirt. I owned an 06 BF 750i- I pretty much would punish it on the weekends in mud, water & snow (as you can see in my album) and the only problem I ever had was rough running due to a little moisture in the gas. Other then that, no problems- and I loved it.

The problem with the water in the air breather on the brute, is that something I should be concerned with? Thought about a 650 and even a Rubicon, too many choices. Thanks for the input.

I don't know- I never had any problem with water in my air cleaner on my brute, and I had it in water up to its fenders many times- look at the pics in my album- I spent an entire day driving in rivers and not a single problem- anywhere. The only time I had water in my fuel was when It got there via my gas container- which had a little water in it, and I ended up pouring it in.
Do you plan on having your atv in deep water?

For work around the ranch, I think either would be fine. However, there's no question Honda's are more reliable... much of that to the fact that they don't have the bells and whistles of the Brute... never mind the power.

The honda would be more reliable but the rincon does'nt have a low rang, if your going to be pulling anything heavy you should hve a low gear.
