Did anybody try to start it with water in the cylinder? You want to take the plug out and blow any water out with the plug not installed. Otherwise it can cause a hyrdrolock and ruin the engine. There could be quite a bit of damage because water won't compress. I agree with draining the carb and fuel lines. Go from the top down.

I agree with Moose...you should go from the top on down when trying to get the water out of everything(even the differentials) and definetly get the water out of the cylinder!!! Hydrolock will screw it all up Good Luck and let us know how it turns out.

It depends on what, if any damage occured. Most times it can cause bad damage, like Moose said, water does not compress! So if the water doesnt give way.....then something else has to! If you have to rebuild the top end...while its apart, you might as well get the bottom done as well just to be on the safe side

I'd think about getting the compression checked to be on the safe side. I'm not sure what it should be for the Kawi 360. If water did get into the cylinder, trying to start it is not good. Hope it's nothing major.
