Default Steering Stabilizer

Was washing my bike on the weekend and noticed it hanging. The actual stabilizer part is not damaged, it is just the stabilizer joints (that seem to use a lot of plastic) are broken off. The joints are the pieces that connect the stabilizer bar to the lower rear control arm. I Have no idea when it happened, but I suspect sometime over the winter when I flipped it . . .

My question is, is it worth replacing? I have been driving it for hard to say how long and didn’t notice any difference . . . is the stabilizer only for stabilization or does it strengthen the whole suspension, ie keep it together.

Tks

Two Questions

1. What model are you talking about?
I suppose it is either BF750 or 650 IRS.

2. What and where is "Steering Stabilizer" on Kawi quads?
I suppose you meant to say rear suspension anti-sway bar unless Kawi has new quads with 4-wheel steering system.

If my assumption is correct, answer to your question is:
It only stabilizes or minimizes leaning of quad when you are cornering. It doesn't strengthen anything else. But I suggest you replace what's broken anyway, especially on top-heavy BF. Kawi dealers sell metal ones now (no plastic joint).
