I have a 02 650 V twin Kawasaki. Wanting to put on a winch. Need to know best location
for the contactor. Also thinking about getting a 2500 or 3000 lb winch. Need ideas if either winch is too much or too little. All ideas and suggestions welcome.

You are kind of limited to where you can put the contactor because of the length of the wires, I put mine by the battery. I will only recommend one winch and thats the Warn they can't be beat as far as reliability goes they may cost a little more but they are worth it after seeing my buddies use the cheap knock off brands and they always end up failing them but my Warn has never let me down. I would recommend a Viper winch because of all the positive reviews that I've seen online and the price can't be beat. To me warn are alittle to pricey. When my warn 2500 goes that's what I plan on buying. Also if you plan on getting a winch you should also think about getting amsteel synthetic winch rope as well. Just my .02
