Default what carb do kawi riders run

Want a new carb for my KFX400. Would I be better to bore out my carb or get an edelbrock?
Also have a high compression piston but have heard rumers that it can burn up the crank. Has any one had any problems.

Stay away from the edelbrock they don't work to well. I also wouldn't bother with boring my carb.. If your wanting a larger carb then just go with a YFZ carb.. They work well and you can find them reasonable.

As long as you do regular oil changes and take care of your stuff you won't have any problems with the higher compression. Just get it tuned in properly weither stock or other carbs and you'll be fine.

being a racer, i recommend 37mm or bigger keihin FCR flat slide carb. they are super adjustable and tunable. pretty much any race bike comes with one from the factory, like crf, yzf, kxf, all of them come with these from the factory. best place to look is ebay. look up just flat slide +/- carb at the end haha
