2001 Lakota Sport 300 Problems
#1
I have problems with my 2001 Kawasaki lakota, i can start it in the choke position, and it will idle ok.But when i take it off choke and put it in first gear and give it some gas it kills.I cleaned the carburetor and changed the gasket for the bowl.I replaced the float with a new one.I really could use some help on this one.I changed the gas and cleaned out the gas tank.It seems like the air and gas mixture could be the problem.Has any one have similar issues.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome aboard!!! Can you see thru the pilot jet? [the small jet besides the main jet]. this jet is used at idle to 1\4 throttle.. I can,t remember BUT i think the idle mixture srcew is the back edge of carb... the setting to start with is turn in until slightly seated then turn out 2 1\4 full turns then fine tune after warmed up.....Good Luck...
