Default Plowing snow on 1/4 private driveway

I recently purchased a home with a 1/4 mile private drive. Does anyone have any experiences plowing snow? I'm sure that my 09 Prairie 360 4x4 has enough power to plow but this seems like too long of a drive to do with an ATV.
I could buy a plow for my 3/4 Chevy but I'm sure that it would be very expensive.
I've heard that snow forms into ice and makes it very difficult to raise and lower the blade on an ATV.
I've never used a snow plow on a truck or an ATV, so I am unfamiliar with the process.

A 1/4 driveway is a long driveway for an ATV to handle, but it can be done. Depends on the driveway (flat, hilly, dirt, paved... etc). It also depends on the type and amount of snow you will attempt to plow. A few inches of dry, fluffy snow is not bad. Six inches of heavy wet snow on a driveway that size may be too much.

Good luck.

i plow my 1 mile long private drive with my 06 650 bruteforce. it does a great job if u go about 10-15 mph it throws the snow to the side dont matter about ground. unless u hit a snag and the blade folds down. my blade is home made. and its 1/4 inch steel angle and a blade. with snow guards on top. and i have it welded up so it dont fold down. our road is tar mixed with gravel. it does great and iv never had trouble raising and lowering it. i also have a 3000lb winch that does that job for me.it depends on if u can handle cold weather or u want to be in a heated cab.

I got a 1990 Kawi Bayou 300 4x4 with a 60 inch blade and it does well plowing any type of snow...i think you should be fine as long as you just keep the speed up they just throw it like a full size road snow plow.
