Hello. Hydrometer for testing battery in a '92 Bayou 220
#1
Hello,
I am trying to locate a hydromenter that I can use to test the specific gravity for the battery on my Bayou 220. Can you recommend one that works pretty good? The one that I currently have is for testing car batteries. The hose is way too big for the hose that I have to dip in the holes under the fill caps to test the solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your time and understanding.

Take your pick. There is like a bazillion of them on the market. Here is one. Mini Battery Hydrometer

I checked out the one that you had mentioned in the link. I just want to make sure that the hose is going to fit in the fill holes on my battery. They are so tiny. They look like they would. I guess the best thing for me to do is to measure the diameter of one of fill holes and then ask the vendor if the hose is definitely smaller than that. That is the only sure fire way that I know of to check.

Thanks for the response. I checked the link that you had given to me and I am not sure if the hose is going to be small enough to fit in one of the battery fill holes. I guess the best thing for me to do would be for me to actually measure the inside diameter of one of the fill holes to make sure that the diameter of the hose on the hydrometer is smaller than one of the fill holes on my battery. I really do appreciate all of your help. I hope that you had a wonderful new year.
Thanks
Joey
Thanks
