Default Kawasaki bayou oil?

I have a 99 kawasaki bayou 220 that I just got. Was going to change the engine oil. Is there any certain brand I need to use? Was going to put in some kendall 10w-40 that I had, will this work or should I order something special. Also on the final gear case oil I have some lucas 75-90 full synthetic. Is this ok? Any help is appreciated!!

IMO and factory recommendation use only atv and motcycle oils without moly, your clutch will do better[on the engine] the lucas gear oil you mention will be be perfect [all gears no fibers in there].

Any 10W40 motor oil will do in the Bayou or any other ATV. 10W40 are non energy conserving oils and will not cause problems, issues or the 7 plagues of Egypt people often obsess about. Another great oil (one that I've used in all my motorcycles and ATV's including my wifes 220 Bayou) is Shell Rotella 15W40 or 5W40 if you prefer synthetic) Available at most Walmarts or automotive stores. 75W90 is ok for the differential.
