2005 kawasaki 650 brute force

Default 2005 kawasaki 650 brute force

I have a 650 brute force i put a new wiring harness new cyloide for winch and when i park it for 2 days it kills the battery enyone have eny answeres or were to start. i would like to know how to test and see if it is drawing i tried a volt meter on the positive cable and is sayes 12 volts and i tryed the negitive and it says 10 volts i tested my buddys bike and it says the same thing . eny help would be great thanks

You don't do voltage check to measure the current draw. You need to use the current meter to do that. Since you replace the wiring harness, you will know there are many connectors involved. Using a current meter, remove one connector at a time and measure the current draw at the (+) cable of the battery. When the excesssive current draw stops, that's the offending component. The most common ones are winch solenoid, 4wd/EBC actuators, dash meter, igniter, controller, rectifier, etc.
