Hey Guys I am getting ready to pull the swingarm bolt out of my machine so i can pull the motor out so i can split the case and have the crank rebuilt I am running into one problem though on the swingarm bolt that goes through the rear of the motor there is a lock nut that looks kind of like a castle nut it has four prongs I am guessing there is some sort of a special tool to get this out anyone know where I would find this or any suggestions on how it comes out?

 

That's the swing arm pivot nut that you are tyring to remove. And it requires a special Kawi tool P/N 570011686. Check to see if you can rent from a local Kawi dealer for small fee instead of buying one for $76. Are you using the service manual for doing this job? It's all in there.

 

Yes I am using the manuel I seen the tool there but like you said they want 75.00 or so for it I was wondering if there was a ftermarket tool someone made for cheaper?
