I have a 1984 KLT-110. Bought it new for my son and it is still around and runs good. I notice there is a slight slip side to side of the rear axle. Is this something that can be repaired without a manual?

There is a set of 2 nuts on the outside of the brake drum that could be loose, they are what pulls the axle up tight in the carrier, one tightens it up, the other is just a lock nut, they will likely feel tight when you go to break them loose, but go ahead and loosen them seperately, then tighten the inside one first, then lock it in place with the outside one.

Thank you for your suggestion. Looking at the brake drum from the rear, I don't see any nuts or bolts that look like they would adjust. Does the cover need to be removed? The outside of the drum doesn't have anything on it that appears like an adjustment. I see on the inside two attachment bolts but they appear to be just that.

They are inside the drum cover, you have to take out the 4 bolts holding the cover to the carrier, it has a seal in it as well, might be a good idea to replace the seal while you are at it if it sees any mud, your brakes will last longer. Here is a link to the Kawasaki parts drawing for the rear axle. https://www.kawasakiepc.com/SystemSe...TOKEN=65361046
