Kawasaki bayou 300 4X4
#1
Hello,
I could use some help on this one as I don't know what to look at. The lat time I went quading it seemed to work fine. The quad has been in the garage and had been sitting I have started it a few times just to keep it lubricated. The other day I went to take it out and it started fine. but when in neutral it will not roll it is like it is in gear wheels will not turn. When I shift it in to gear it seems to go in to gear and wheels seem to try to turn but it is like the breaks are locked on. this is for the rear as well as the front. The Quad is full time 4x4... Could this be clutch related. Does the same thing in Reverse... and ideas or things to check would be appreciated and the sooner the better..
I have checked all the levels of oil and break fluid as well I have let off the break tention at the rear wheels...
Thank you in advance
Shawn.

My old Honda 300 had the left front drum seized up after sitting for nearly a year (it also has been in a garage fire, and thus its rusting process has been accelerated as a result). I had to use a gear puller to pop the drum off. The right side was just fine however. I'm in the process of rebuilding several parts of that quad with ebay parts from an 88 model right now. I doubt you're going to be in as serious of a predicament, but the guy above seems to be on the right track with the brakes rusted up.
