Kfx 700
#1
We have a kfx 700 that rides like a tank. The shocks are set at their lightest but when trail riding, it just beats us to death. On dunes, you probably wouldn't notice but on stutter bumps and whoops, it just is almost unbearable. I know that a $1000.00 worth of shocks might fix it but just out of the financial question. Does anyone have a fix for this? I can't be the only one with this issue. I really like the quad but I'm about to put it up for sale and try to get something with a softer ride. We don't want a wheel chair because we like to rip once in a while but this is just to much..Thx...Dean

Redneck..Got your message but it looks to me that the tighter you make your springs, the harder it would make the ride. Or am I looking at it in a reverse way somehow? Thx to all who responded. ...Dean

Kowie got the bump AND the rebound all screwed up. They got the bump way too stiff and the rebound way to soft. That is why when you hit a bump it jars the crap out of your back and then tries to throw you over the bars.
There is only two things you can do.
#1 Get some Elka's or Fox floats or whatever.
#2 Get a your stock rear shock rebuilt to your spec's.
You can play with the rear adjustment all you want and it will make very little difference in ride quality. The only way to fix that is one of the two things above.
