Actuator Controller issue
#1
The bike: 2005 Brute Force 650 4x4
The problem: When the ignition is off, the engine brake will cycle every few seconds unless I unplug the actuator controller. Then I had the bike sitting for 6 months while I was on deployment and when I came back it wont shift into 4x4. It's not blinking 2wd/4wd or anything like that. I was wondering if anyone had any insight before I spend a few hundred bucks on a new controller.
thank you

The ebc actuator is supposed to cycle for a few seconds right after you shut off the engine.
If it doesn't cycle, there is a problem (Controller, 2nd ECU).
If the cycling doesn't stop, that's a problem as well.
If either ebc acturator or Controller is bad, the system automatically disables 4x4 engagement.
You need to figure out whether your ebc actuator or Controller is bad.
In either case, 2WD to 4WD light should be flashing.
