Recently bought an 05 KFX 400 with a jet kit and dmc full exhaust system.

Up until today this thing has had ZERO problems.

I went out to my barn, hopped on it, and it just cranked and cranked and cranked....................and cranked until the battery died. (Of course I didn't just KEEP it constantly cranking)

Then when I hooked it up to jump it, it cranked and cranked and cranked (the choke had been on this whole time) then FINALLY fired. This was after a good 15min of just cranking, then checking for problems, cranking, checking again, etc etc.

Keep in mind my quad idles just fine, and accelerates just fine. No smoke or anything.

Then, after about 10 min of riding, I stopped to reverse out of these bushes I decided not to go through, and it sounded like it was dying so I gave it gas, and it bogged down, let up, and it came back to normal idle. Then checked the fuel tank selector (note: quad's running) and it was on primary. Then I revved it whilst holding in the clutch, and it revved fine. Then I went to shift down from first into reverse and it just died.

Keep in mind, now it's warmed up, so it should've instantaneously fired. It didn't. By now the battery was pretty well charged from riding around. It just cranked until the battery died again.

So, I walk back to my house and me and my Dad end up hooking a tow hitch to my quad and pulling it with my other 4-wheeler & dropping clutch. It started just fine that way, and ran well all the way back to my barn where it currently sits.
