brakes

Default brakes

i have a 94 kawasaki bayou. im having problems with replacing the rear brake shoes. the problem im having is installing the drum back on with the new shoes.

There should be an adjuster to move the shoes inward so it can slip on. If not, you may have a shoe out of place a little bit.

I'm having that same trouble with my son LT80. Brakes are aligned well. Drum wont's slip over the new pads. I can get it on with alot of work however the wheels won't spin.

Any Help?

There are two butterfly nuts outside the drum brake housing that close the shoes in.

One is for the hand brake and one is for the foot brake.
Here is a pic of the two butterfly nuts .its a 2012 Honda 500 Foreman but there all mostly the same. (Can,t believe the newest 500 Foreman still uses drums)

Yes, i have that so the shoes are all the way down..."zero'd out" if you will.
Drum still wont' fit over.
