Talking 94 mojave 250

I have a 94 kawasaki mojave 250. My problem is this, when we get it to idle correctly and the cooling fan comes on, it seems as if it brings the power down and then it's idling too low and then the 4 wheeler shuts off. I'm no where near a 4 wheeler expert! All I know is to get on it and ride, a mechanic, I am not!! I do have someone trying to work on it for me, but he too, is stumped. If anyone has a clue what's going on with it, please, feel free to give me some advice!! Ive already put a ton of money into this thing, and I guess I should have bought a book for it, but I thought the guy fixing it would know all of this stuff and I wasn't exactly interested in "shop" when I was in high school!! lol most girls back then wasn't! I could really use some advice, thanks in advance!!

I'm no mechanic either. Fan comes on and it idles down and shuts off. Is battery good and connections good? Maybe alternator isn't pumping out the right amount of juice and the fan kicking on is the straw breaking the camel's back?

Well, I don't think it's that cause I was told it runs off if a generator. I'm not exactly sure what the issue is, other than being completely annoying!! lol
